Who's ready to get Ele-Funkay?!
Dawn to Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Mae

Ele-Funk in the Room is the ninth episode in Season 3 of Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. It premiered on April 8, 2017, to an audience of 1.37 viewers.

Synopsis

When Dawn and Mae have a falling out, Dawn forbids Nicky, Ricky and Dicky from going to an upcoming concert with her, but the boys have other plans in mind.[1]

Plot

After a scouts camp, Dawn and Mae are excited about attending the Ele-Funk concert together. Dawn pressures Mae to dress up in an elephant-head costume for the concert but Mae doesn't like the idea. She is however afraid to say no to Dawn because Dawn can be a little pushy.

Mae tells Nicky, Ricky and Dicky about the dilemma. The boys convince her to admit that Dawn is pushy and confront her about it. When Dawn re-enters the room, Mae tells her that she is pushy. Dawn refuses to admit it and in fact forces Mae to apologize. With a little push from the boys, Mae refuses to apologize. Dawn breaks up with Mae.

The boys blame themselves for ruining Dawn and Mae's relationship. Mae blames them too for encouraging her to stand up to Dawn. It gets worse when Dawn forces the boys into a quad-pact that forbids them from hanging out with Mae or going to the concert with her. The boys try to get the Mae and Dawn to apologize to each other but it's all in vain. So, they settle for plan B: trick the girls into apologizing to each other.

Ricky calls the house phone pretending to be Mae. Nicky picks it up next to Dawn and makes it clear that Dawn hears that it's Mae calling and that she has a cold so the voice is different. Dawn takes the phone and Ricky's voice convinces her that it's Mae. They've even got a cake for Dawn from "Mae." Unfortunately, Dawn doesn't like the picture of her and Mae on the cake because she doesn't look good in it. So, she concludes that Mae sent the cake as an insult and refuses to accept the apology.

When they try a similar attempt to fool Mae, it fails completely from the very start. Dicky is the caller and he can't get himself to sound anything closer to Dawn. He makes different deep voices and even horses sounds. Mae knows immediately that the boys are tricking her.

Now that all the plans have failed, the boys settle for plan C: break the quad-pact. They pretend to join the scouts and sneak into the concert without Dawn knowing about it. They lie to Mae that Dawn is ok with her going to the concert with them. Dawn on the other hand, is in a dilemma when Natlee and June beg her to come with them to the concert. She tells them that she made a pact with the rest of the quads not to go to the concert. However, June and Natlee insist that they've made a scout pact with her and so she's obliged to go with them. She caves in.

At the concert, Dawn recognizes the boys and Mae. She gets mad that they broke the quad-pact but is afraid to confront them because then they would know that she broke the quad-pact too. She runs to the elevator so that the boys don't see her. Unfortunately, her elephant-head costume gets stuck in the elevator. The boys recognize her too but their attempt to hide fails when Dawn sees them.

Dawn and the boys confront each other for breaking the quad-pact while Dawn struggles to remain still in the elevator as she keeps getting pulled up and down. After a huge argument, Dawn admits that she might be a little pushy and the boys apologize for messing up.

When the elevator finally stops, they help Dawn out and go to the Ele-Funk concert together.
