Hey StarForce13! I was talking with nrdd71 on how to become an admin and I realized and I said it on the thread that I have pretty much everything to become admin (he told me to come talk to you) and so I was wondering if I was good in my position or is admin REALLY in my league.
There is a potential because you're very active and have added a lot of good stuff.
But, I have some issues with some of your edits (especially trivia) that seem either misleading, not fully researched or unnecessary. And you've got a lot of warnings from other admins. And you've been blocked in at least 2 other wikis.
If you keep up working hard, and improve on the quality of the content, and avoid getting more warnings... there's a chance of becoming an admin.
Can you tell me which edits I messed up on so I could fix them. And believe me, I've been trying to not get blocks or warnings but I'm like the quads my life just is bad luck. Whatever I do ends up going wrong. I have actually only gotten 1 warning and I have 2 blocks. I think I'm just quitting on working with the community of Henry Danger and Game Shakers because over their the admins watch over you like a hawk and you guys do the same here just you don't watch literally every single thing I do. I will definitely be fixing the quality of my work as I know I'm not perfect but I feel like I can drift in near it.
After all of this is cleared, than I will think about talking to you about admin.
It's not messing up in a way that would be considered vandalism. It's just little things that are questionable. Like almost all the goofs you've listed are not goofs. They're things that can happen given the situation and the explanation.
A goof should be something that's a clear contradiction without any explanation. For example,
- saying mosquitoes come out when it rains doesn't mean you can't have mosquitoes when it isn't raining. So, it's not a goof.
- Saying Anne cooks meatballs doesn't mean it's a goof when someone else cooks meatballs in another episode.
There are a lot of others like that and I will probably be deleting all of them. I had started earlier on editing them and adding an explanation starting with "Not a goof:" like I did on Wizards of Quads. But I will be deleting the non-goofs since there are lots of them.
Same thing with some of the trivia. For example,
- saying Gladys is a reference to Gladys character from Bunkd when Gladys is such a common name.
- Or adding trivia just to say someone guest-starred when they're already listed as guest stars.
- Having a guest star who appeared on another show doesn't mean the shows are in the same universe.
I know you're trying to do something good but the content ends up being misleading. So, I think when some of the admins get tired of going back and cleaning up everything, that's when it ends up becoming a block.
So admin is going farther and farther away from me everyday...
Got blocked here and on Henry Danger. Not so much active anymore. The Henry Danger block, I do the same thing here and at the School of Rock wiki. The Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn block, was a misunderstanding as I was not trying to boss that person around and don't remember when I closed a warning thread. Activity, since being an admin on School of Rock I don't really work here a lot.
You currently have a lot of warnings and blocks. And I just added a new one after seeing you involved in a reverting war with an admin. Most of the edits you're trying to force in like trivia are not even correct.
Not really. Fx, you just created two cast pages without adding categories. You also used their character images, and you didn't use a table for Filmography. Also, your latest edit to the Aidan Gallagher page messed up the Table of Contents box.
The main problem is that a good number of your edits - especially Goofs and Trivia - are wrong and I have to keep fixing them. Many of them are good and I like them. But I would hate having to revert other admins' edits or pointing out their mistakes. So, I'm just waiting for that moment when I don't have to keep correcting some of those.
Here are a few quick tips for things to avoid over the next few days and then we'll see:
Most of your goofs are not goofs at all. If you think something is a goof, you're probably wrong or missing the point. Don't write goofs. If you're pretty sure something is an error, run it by me. Goofs should be obvious errors and contradictions that can't be explained otherwise. Just because something happened offscreen doesn't mean it's a goof. You seem to confuse characters and their actors and their characters from other shows. Like you seemed to confuse Tori and Cherry from Thundermans. Just because they're played by the same person, they're not the same character.
Any time you say something is a reference to shows like Henry Danger, iCarly, Drake & Josh, Game Shakers, Victorious etc you're probably wrong. A character going on a date or having the same name as another character is not a reference to another show. Actual references will be pretty obvious and undeniable like Quad with a Blog. NRDD is highly unlikely to even reference DanWarp shows. If anything they're closer to Thundermans, School of Rock and Disney shows.
Any time you're writing Trivia on minor characters / roles that the audience doesn't even notice, you're probably doing something wrong. The biggest case is April Audia. She only does voice overs for things like phones and is hardly noticed. Yet, there were so many entries of her and how she works on Henry Danger snack bar. Again - confusing characters with their actors and the other characters they've played.
Any time you're writing continuity or plot trivia for future episodes before the plot /promo is released, it's going to be misleading. The plot is only official once the episode airs. That includes things like "Latest Episode/Latest Appearance" sections on trivias. Even if you know someone or something is going to be featured in the future, it's not their latest episode until it airs.
Don't revert other users' edits unless what they wrote is clearly false or vandalism. Similarly, when an admin removes something you added, don't undo their edit. It means they had reviewed it and found it to be wrong.
Only create pages when you have enough content to put in them to make them worthy keeping.
